A little bit of Bowie, a little bit of the Warlocks, some Kula Shaker and Blur, and a lot of psychotropic drugs seem to be the inspiration behind Foster the People‘s new song, “Pseudologia Fantastica.”
They played this song at their mural unveiling in Downtown Los Angeles to a super lucky crowd.
The song is a sprawling psychedelic adventure that swirls around Mark Foster’s filtered falsetto in a way that shows Foster the People has moved onto some groovier (and deeper) sonic territory with their upcoming album, Supermodel.
The album comes out on March 14th via Columbia. Their first single was the colorful, trippy “Coming of Age.”
